Powerball Rules:

The Powerball draw has 2 sets of numbers which are drawn from 2 electric barrels. Each barrel has 45 balls numbered from 1 to 45. To play a standard game you pick 5 numbers from the first range of 1 to 45 and a Power ball number from the second range of 1 to 45.

A total of 6 numbers are drawn in powerball. First, 5 winning numbers are drawn from the first machine, then 1 Powerball number is drawn from the second machine.

To win a prize, you have to pick at least three winning numbers – that is, either 3 straight numbers or 2 winning numbers plus the Power ball.
